My name is Fatoumata Ismaïla Konaté, I am a young Malian entrepreneur living in
Garantibougou nèrèkoro, and I am the manager of KDILY, a young family business operating in the food industry, specialised in:
- Dried meat, djalani pâté
- Baobab powder,
- Baobab juices with different flavors.
In 2019, our father sponsored us with the sum of 350,000 CFA francs, and we then started our business with a single product, dried meat.
In 2020, we got fundings from the UNDP-TEF program, which allowed us to diversify our products.
We obviously encountered a few difficulties like getting access to funding, which was not at all easy for us, and also the market strict requirements which almost made me give up, it was so very difficult indeed, but nevertheless, I held on and here we are today.
Our objective is to expand the company and create more jobs, hire young people in order to reduce the unemployment rate while preserving the environment and above all, continue to improve the quality of our products for the satisfaction of our customers.
